What on Earth is Infinity Hair?
Infinity Hair is a unique product that offers a “20 second” solution to hair loss. Ever heard of spray-on tanning? It’s kinda like that, but three-dimensional, and for hair. Sound crazy? Keep reading to learn more!
From their website:
Infinity Hair Fibers are a cosmetic solution that addresses hair loss instantly.
It is created through the Nano Fiber Technology, that makes these fibers electrostatically charged and once this product is applied to your problem areas, they effectively adhere to your existing hair and gives you an appearance of a thick, healthy and shiny looking hair.
How Do You Use It?
Infinity Hair is applied directly to the scalp on a dry head, after your hair is styled (they don’t advise adding it before curling iron or flat iron applications).
You can then “fill in the gaps” with the infinity hair, as a finishing touch. Like you’re sculpting. It’s literally a 3-D hair substitute product.
You may use hairspray on the Infinity Hair fibers after applying them to your scalp. It’s great that these fibers can be styled along with your regular hair.
How Long Does It Last?
Infinity Hair stays on your head for a few days, until you’re ready to shampoo it out.
This is good news for women trying to shampoo infrequently or for people who want to preserve a certain hairstyle for a couple of days.
What’s In It?
Infinity Hair is made out of keratin fibers, which is the same material that makes up our hair, skin, and nails.
The ingredients list also shows rayon (which is a kind of fabric) and various dyes to approximate the hair colors. The dyes vary based on the color you order.
This sounds weird, like something out of a Science Fiction movie…is it SAFE?
Oddly enough, the consensus seems to be YES. This is how the manufacturer describes it:
Because Infinity Hair Fibers products are made out of high-quality and all organic keratin protein fibers, the makers of this product ensure that it will not cause any adverse effects, unlike other methods. It is guaranteed to be safe, free from any form of drugs, will not dry or irritate your scalp and will definitely not clog your pores.
Infinity Hair Fibers adhere to your scalp, and the maker says it’s sturdy enough to stay on your head through windstorms and heavy rains.
Also, the color from the dye won’t bleed onto your clothes if you get caught in the rain.
Does It Work?
Amazingly, people say YES. I was skeptical after learning about this product, just because it seemed so odd to me. 3-D hair fibers you sculpt directly to your scalp? Really??
But, I’ve read hundreds of reviews looking for critical information, and it’s certainly out there, but amidst a sea of praise.
The most consistent positive comment is that people feel more confident when using this product.
And that it takes some getting used to, but it’s easy to use once you get the hang of it. The outlandish claim that it’s a 20-second solution to hair loss is mostly reflected to be TRUE based on the user experiences.
Here is a typical positive review from a female user of Infinity Hair Fibers:
- Some users say if you have a “sweaty head“, you can experience some fiber clumping.
- Some users have also expressed an interest in a wider color range.
- If you dye your hair, you need to order the shade that’s closest in color to your roots, because the product will be applied directly to your scalp – this could theoretically create more contrast with the dye job.
- Infinity Hair is only for the scalp, not the face or body.
Who Is It For?
Infinity Hair is engineered for both men and women experiencing hair loss. The product line has a wide range of colors to accommodate customers.
Infinity works on all hair types, fine to coarse, short to long, and on colored, highlighted or permed hair. You aren’t restricted by any of these conditions, unlike with some other products only for undyed or untreated hair.
Infinity Hair is a cosmetic solution to a mostly cosmetic problem.
While this blog advocates for, and has discussed both holistic and natural solutions, as well as the industry standard biochemical solutions, this product gives me a pause…because it is a really interesting approach to the problem.
I think Infinity Hair is a great product to try out for women who know the cause of their hair loss is temporary, ie, women who are pregnant, going through menopause, going through chemotherapy, or even women recovering from a medical procedure where part of their hair had to be shaved.
I also think it could be a good choice for women who want to simply and easily fill in conspicuous bald spots.
For women who have lost most of their hair or have very large bald spots without any hair, I personally think that a wig would be a better choice, because this product is clearly more intended as a “filler” than a brand new, replacement head of hair.
That said, most of us start looking for hair loss solutions WELL before we’ve lost all of our hair, and because of that, Infinity Hair is a relevant and promising possible solution.
Since it’s priced so low, and because Infinity Hair has such surprisingly positive feedback, I think it’s worth a shot.
Infinity Hair is definitely worth trying if your hair loss shows up more like small spotting or thinning than large areas of hair loss.
For those with temporary hair loss, small spotting or general thinning, I think this product could be a major asset and confidence booster.
Thanks for reading. Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts, questions, or experiences with Infinity Hair – I’d really love to hear from anyone who’s tried this.
